Melody Traylor

Rev. Melody Traylor is an ordained Elder in The North Alabama Conference of The United Methodist Church. She is appointed to Discovery Ministries, Inc. She has served churches throughout her conference since 1987. Before that, while she attended Birmingham-Southern College she was a youth director at Alabaster UMC.

She has served Sunny Level UMC in Alexander City, Waterloo UMC- Wright’s Chapel Circuit, Roebuck Drive UMC, and First United Methodist of Tuscaloosa as an associate pastor.

She also works at Trinity United Methodist in Tuscaloosa as an associate pastor.

Her education: Birmingham-Southern College, Candler School of Theology at Emory University, Pastoral Care and Counseling Training at Carraway Methodist Medical Center, Academy for Spiritual Formation and Institute for Clergy Excellence (an intense study and travel group).

Ministry activities and interest: Walk to Emmaus in 1986, Kairos Ministry, Chrysalis Ministry, Prison Bible studies, Missionary trips in USA, Conference youth activities, and kayaking.
