Discovery
is a nonprofit ministry helping youth experience and share
God’s love.
Discovery weekend is a youth weekend for spiritual formation
where the youth experience God’s love, the joy and forgiveness
of Christ and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The weekend is
held in the local church with mid-high attending and senior
highs and adults of the church leading the weekend.
Discovery has created three
weekends- to be held over a three year cycle. This allows
the mid-highs to attend a different weekend during their
middle school years.
Leaders of the weekend do not need any other camp experience
to be leaders at Discovery. This allows all youth and
adults of the church to become strong leaders in youth
ministry. Even the mid-highs are invited to team meetings
to help plan the weekend.
